Birthday 18th June
Sunday, 14 June 2009
The blog has been rather quiet for a little while as Ingrid and I have been really busy, including a weekend when we had a stand at Holker. The weather was fantastic and the people who we met were lovely and we have had the pleasure of training new clients who we met at the show.
Just to let you know, we will be doing the same again next year, maybe we will see you there.

Another Thank you!
Dear Ingrid and Janet,
Yet again Rosie has come home a happy little dog after her holidays with you, she has been fine since she came home, (she has her bags packed for her next holiday :-)))
You have no idea how lovely it is to be able to go away and know she is such kind and safe hands, I cannot thank you both enough!! Her photos on your website are absolutely brilliant, it shows just how happy she is, we both have such peace of mind leaving her with you, I am so grateful to you.
Thanking you again
Lyn and Stu (Rosies mum and dad)

Did you hear that?
Here is Fred, he comes on holiday with us from London, but this visit he is on reduced exercise as he has a sore paw, so we are being careful!

Hello.....
Please be nice, I'm only little!! This new guest is called Squeak and she lives with her sister Bubble, a couple of young tearaways!
Wednesday, 13 May 2009
Yes, can I help you?
This is our lovely boy Jack, I took this today just before Ingrid and I had a picnic by the stream and guess what? it didn't rain!
I'm just settling in.
I would like to introduce Millie who is a rough haired Jack Russell and is absolutely lovely! She has only been here one night but will soon be running the show as usual! (She's quite a regular guest).
Saturday, 9 May 2009
That's right, please take it from my good side!
Let me introduce Lucy, she lives with Frank and while she was posing he was finally playing with Spike!
Please play with me.
This is Spike, again! trying to encourage Frank to play with her, I don't know if he's impressed or not!
Friday, 8 May 2009
Yes it rained again today, just for a change, and amongst it all we had three more guests arrive and when the rain gives me a break I hope to capture them with the camera! But to be going on with they are Frank and Lucy and our regular visitor, Spike!
Frank and Lucy are two mixed breed dogs who were adopted by their owners from a local rescue centre, they had suffered a great deal in their short lives and taking this into consideration they are super, full of character and loving life.

Come on then throw it!
Let me introduce little Rosie to you she is on her holidays with us for the first time and is thoroughly enjoying herself especially when she has me entertaining her.

Hello!
What has happened to the weather up here in Cumbria?
Wet and wild and not much of a sign of it stopping! But, whatever the weather we are out in it, Ingrid is training in it and I am walking our guest dogs in it! They don't seem to mind the rain, all I can say is thank goodness for good quality waterproofs!
So instead of pictures that would only be a wet blur, I will tell you about our guests. We have a little visitor called Rosie who is a Jack Russell x Chihuahua, this is her second visit with us and she is having a wonderful time and making friends with Skye and Rhum.(2 black Labs)! We also have our training dogs but they don't join me on walks just yet, I can't wait for them to see the fells with me when they are trained!
Ingrid is busy with training bookings including residential training, our one day courses are proving to be very popular and we have a few more lined up before she goes away to Cambridge.
We have a couple of dates for your diary:-
May 29th to May 31st (incl)
Ingrid and I have a stand at The Holker Hall show, we would love to see you there, so come and see us and say "hello".
June 3rd to June 11th
If you are in the southern part of the country maybe you would like the chance to train your dog with Ingrid (one of THE top dog trainers in the country) without the hassel of having to travel hundreds of miles to Cumbria. If this is the case please give us a call on 01931 715282 and book a place on one of our courses at our new training centre at Abbotsley Golf Club near St Neots,Cambridge. All training is on a one-to-one basis so you have Ingrid's undivided attention!
June 6th
I will be at The Animal Refuge Shelter at Wetherall Shields near Carlisle in my role as a Dog Behaviourist. This day is for celebrating the centenary of the centre and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone there and helping and advising people with their dogs. Come and visit the centre, there are lots of activities going on throughout the day, and while you're there come and visit my stand, I look forward to meeting you.

Who me?
Yes I am a bit wet and unkempt looking, but I am having fun!!! Another of our regular guests is Bracken who always comes in looking very smart and clean!
I can sit and stay but not for long......
Here is Brenna a very busy little Patterdale who will sit and stay until she has to rush off again to investigate "things!"
Will you play with me?
This is Jack who is with us for one month of residential training, as part of his training he joined me and our other guests on a walk today and just wanted to play. Here he is trying to persuade Skye to join in!
I'll catch you up when I've got my breath back!
This is Rhum who never stops!! He is one of Twinx's brothers and he comes in to stay with his friend Skye who is also a black Lab
Phew, this is hard work, I need a drink!
This is little spike, Ingrid trained her owner to train her andnow she is one of our regular guests. When she first booked in for training with a name like Spike, Ingrid thought she was going to be BIG!!!!
I'm so good!
Here is another of my boys!! This is Coco who was with us for a month while Ingrid and I trained him and his friend,Ollie. We were very sorry to see them go home.

Dear Ingrid and Janet,
Have been meaning to drop you a line for absolutely ages. Each time I walk out with my perfectly behaved doggy I thank heavens that I sent him to you, and vow to email you as soon as I get home................
Anyway, Bruno is behaving just wonderfully - he is so much calmer now, a couple of months after returning home, and he has (almost entirely) lost that mad behaviour he was displaying in the early days. I am still putting the electric collar on him but I haven't used it at all for about 2 weeks, and probably only 4 times till then...........
The collar is a smuch for my peace of mind as anything, particularly on a new walk where I am not sure of every potential problem. Bruno is so rewarding now, and Im so enjoying my walks with him. We went out for 2 hours on Friday morning - through fields, along the river, through the woods, along a road, met other dogs, horses, cyclists and joggers and generally every kind of condition (apart from sheep!) and he honestly didn't put a foot wrong. I'm keeping up with all the commands, and he is really listening to me.
So thank you ladies - really - he's doing so well, and the enjoyment for me (and I hope for him) is huge!
Hope you are well.........
All the best,
Mrs. H

We regularly receive thankyou cards, letters and gifts from training clients and their dogs who we have trained. We thought it would be a good idea to start writing some of these lovely comments on our blog.
Dear Ingrid and Janet,
Thank you so much for all your help and training.
We are all enjoying this new freedom in the park and on the beach.
I find myself showing off Fudge since he is so well behaved!
Tracey, Sam and Fudge.
